Oyo PDP will Deplete Come 2027 – Adeduntan
Former Commissioner for Health in Oyo state, Dr Azeez Adeduntan says the fold of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Oyo state will experience unprecedented division in its bid to seek continuity in the 2027 general election.
Dr Adeduntan who returned with his crowd of supporters to the All Progressives Congress, APC boasted that APC will take over power in the state, come 2027.
The renowned Cardiologist surgeon, APC Governorship aspirant 2023, who said he supported Governor Seyi Makinde of the PDP to win his second term bid after the crisis that ensued during the APC governor primary, lamented unfair treatment by the governor.
I left my two brothers to stay neutral with seti Makinde. I supported him with money and mobilised supporters for his election without collecting any anything from him. What pained me most is that , I’ve been calling him, he refused to pick my calls, he denied most of the people that helped him to power access to him. He want to himself to warlord and god father, this I know will scatter the PDP before 2027″.
“Sadly though, we have now seen what they saw in him that Makinde does not like people with superior intellect, but MINIONS, who are servile and obedient.
“No wonder, the standard of governance in Oyo State has plummeted from ministry to ministry; and from MDA to MDA because of baseless reliance on old men he calls YOUTHS, instead of combination of youths, age, ability and experienced politicians.” Adeduntan stated.
In light of the above, I and my supporters are leaving PDP today unshaken in our faith in GOD, that however long our time will come in OYO State, whatever our age at that time as POWER BELONGS TO GOD and he is the only one that knows the future and 2027 with certainty.”
Receiving Dr Adeduntan back to the APC fold, Chairman of the party in the state, Mr Isaac Omodewu, represented by the Secretary, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanite, expressed optimism that Dr Adeduntan’s return would mark a good turning point in the APC.
The event which took place at the APC state Secretariat witnessed the presentation of the party’s flag to Dr Adeduntan and his supporters.
Present at the event we’re APC bigwigs in Oyo State including Honourable Mojeed Olaoya, Honourable Joshua Oyebamiji, Honourable Wasiu Sadare among other APC chieftains in the state.
