New Olubadan Will Emerge on Friday – Ladoja
The Ọtun Olubadan, high chief Rashidi Ladoja has said the new Olubadan will emerge on Friday 12th April 2024.
He stated this while speaking with newsmen at his Bódìjà residence after observing the Eid prayer marking the end of Ramadan.
High Chief Ladoja who explained that a meeting of Olubadan in council had been slated for Friday to nominates the Olubadan designate, Oba Owolabi Olakuleyin as the 43rd first class monarch of Ibadanland.
Recall that Chief Ladoja had on the passing of Oba Olalekan Balogun Alli Okunmade II stated that the olubadan designate was already known making recourse to the age long ascending arrangement of Ibadanland
Speaking on government interference in the process, the former governor noted that the only role required of governor Seyi Makinde in the process was to ratify whoever the council nominates.
On the health and fitness of the Olubadan designate which had debarred him from conspicuous appearance in public functions, Chief Ladoja said , Oba Olakuleyin was not sick, saying it was old age effect emphasizing that none can stop Oba Olakuleyin from as ending the throne of Olubadan.
