Akeredolu’s Legacies Will Endure – Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu says the void left by late Former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu will be difficult to fill saying his legacies will endure forever.
The President stated this when he visited residence of the late Ondo former governor in the ancient town of Owo in Owo local government area of Ondo State.
The President was received in Akure the state capital by Ondo State governor , Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa who led the President to Owo town to commiserate with the Monarch and people of the town over the passing of the former governor.
At Olowo palace, President Tinubu said it was honourable to depart the world when the ovation is loudest.
“This sentiment should inspire us to live each day with purpose, to pursue our goals with determination, and to leave behind a legacy that will be remembered fondly by those whose lives we have touched” he said
He acknowledged the courage and fearless nature of the late governor especially his passion for good governance.
“He truly embodied courage and fearlessness, especially in his relentless pursuit for good governance. I can only describe him as a fearless fighter, his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people and his courageous nature will always be remembered” said the President
The Olowo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the president for his visit.
He described the former governor as a true democrat, highlighting his unwavering commitment to democratic principles and practices.
The monarch extended gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa, acknowledging and commending the governor’s significant efforts in orchestrating a befitting burial ceremony for the late governor .
