The State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Barrister Oluseye Olujimi, has resigned his membership of the party.
Olujimi announced his resignation in a letter dated September 23, 2026, addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Igbara-Oke Ward 1, Ifedore Local Government Area.
In the letter titled “Notice of Resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” the lawyer stated that his resignation took effect immediately and consequently brought to an end his service as the party’s State Secretary.
The former State Secretary expressed gratitude to the PDP for the relationships, experiences and opportunities he had gained during his time in the party. He also wished the party and its members well in their future endeavours.
Olujimi, however, did not state the reason for his resignation in the letter, neither did he disclose his next political move or indicate whether he would join another political party or platform.
A longstanding member of the Ondo State PDP, Olujimi has held several positions within the party.
He became State Secretary following the party’s 2020 state congress and was re-elected to the position under the leadership of Barrister Victor Modupe Aisida, who emerged as State Chairman at the PDP’s September 2025 congress.
His resignation comes amid heightened political activities and realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections and represents a significant development within the organisational structure of the Ondo State PDP.
His next political destination remains undisclosed as of the time of filing this report.
