Suspect Arrested for Alleged Creation, Circulation of Fake Tinubu Audio

The Presidency has confirmed the arrest of a suspect allegedly linked to the creation and circulation of a fake audio recording purported to contain the voice of President Bola Tinubu.

The arrest follows various concerns over the growing spread of digitally manipulated content, including altered audio recordings capable of misleading the public and formenting misinformation.

According to the information made public, the suspect was identified as Ifechukwu Dennis, following efforts to trace the origin of the controversial recording.

Details of the tracking process first emerged on X account through user @Riddwane, who shared a video report explaining how the source of the nearly 12-minute audio clip was allegedly uncovered.

In the video, a technology expert reportedly outlined the digital investigation that led to the identification of Dennis as the alleged creator of the fake recording, prompting law enforcement authorities to take action.
