An aspirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Oyo Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA), has declared that there are no limits to his chances of clinching the party’s ticket and winning the forthcoming senatorial election.
Alli made the assertion while featuring on the “Hot Seat” interactive programme organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, where he spoke on his political ambition and plans for the district.
The Fiditi-born chartered accountant said his confidence stems from his longstanding connection with the grassroots and his commitment to improving the lives of the people through impactful representation.
He explained that through his philanthropic initiatives under the AWA Foundation, he has touched many lives, particularly the underprivileged and communities lacking basic amenities.
Alli stated that his decision to seek the senatorial ticket was driven by a desire to deliver meaningful progress and create opportunities for the people of Oyo Central through quality grassroots representation.
According to him, leadership must be people-centred, noting that understanding the specific needs of constituents is crucial to delivering policies and projects that truly benefit them.
He added that having lived among the people for years, he possessed firsthand knowledge of their challenges and aspirations, which positioned him to provide effective representation at the National Assembly.
The APC aspirant also said his over three decades of professional and political experience give him an edge to deliver unprecedented dividends of democracy if elected.
