….Ondo Women to Benefit from Digital Skills Training at New Centre
Wife of Ondo State and State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, Mrs. Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed the commitment of the initiative to promoting digital inclusion and youth empowerment across the state.
Mrs. Aiyedatiwa stated this during the official commissioning and handover Digital Economy Centres at the Public Service Training Institute, Ilara-Mokin, a project facilitated by the Renewed Hope Initiative of Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency,NITDA.
She described the project as a significant step toward bridging the digital divide and equipping citizens with the necessary skills to thrive in the 21st-century economy.
Mrs. Aiyedatiwa lauded the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her visionary leadership and consistent support for grassroots development through the Renewed Hope Initiative, commended NITDA for partnering to make the project a reality.
She urged the beneficiaries, particularly youths and entrepreneurs in the state, to make good use of the facilities, describing them as hubs for innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
Speaking, The Ondo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. Oluwaseun Osamaye, has described the newly commissioned Digital Learning Centre as a great opportunity for women to gain digital skills and enhance their participation in today’s technology-driven world.
Dr Osamaye said the centre stands as a testament to the collective belief that digital transformation is not only about technology but also about empowering citizens and building a prosperous future for Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
She expressed appreciation to the wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her commitment to women’s empowerment, noting that Ondo State women have continued to benefit immensely from the Renewed Hope Initiative through various life-changing programmes.
The Director General and permanent secretary of the public services training Institute, ilara smokin, Dr Olumide Asiere said that the facility will be open and accessible to everyone, particularly women and youths who will now have the opportunity to benefit from free digital training and capacity-building programmes designed to equip them with relevant skills.
The ceremony was attended by Rayal father, Onibule of ibule-soro, Oba Olukeke Ogunlade, ifedore local government chairman, Mr Ajbola Oladipupo, vice chairman, ifedore, Mrs Biola Ijimakinwa, iyaloja of Akure, Mrs Eko Davies among others .
