A new mother’s cry for help, following the birth of a set of triplets at Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta, has been answered through the state government’s intervention.
The mother of triplets was also offered help in the area of empowerment initiatives aimed at helping her to build a sustainable means of livelihood.
Succor came the way of the triplets when the Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Chief Adijat Adeleye paid a surprise visit to the hospital, conveying the goodwill of Governor Dapo Abiodun to offset the medical bills, while providing cash gifts and other supplies to support the triplets.
All new mothers in the hospital’s maternity ward were not left out in moments of joy as they received various gifts and the assurances of government’s continued commitment to maternal and child welfare.
The Commissioner also commended the hospital’s management and medical team, led by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Arifalo Olawole, for their professionalism and dedication to quality healthcare delivery.
