The Ondo State Security Network codenamed Amotekun Corps has arrested the prime suspect among the killers of Nelson Adepoyigi, who was yhe All Progressives Congress (APC) ward 5 Chairman in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State until his death.
Adepoyigi was kidnapped last month at his residence in Ifon and shot dead by his abductors in the forest after colecting ransom.
The Corps Commander of Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye confirmed the arrest of the prime suspect while parading 32 other suspected criminals in Akure.
According to Chief Adeleye, the suspect has confessed to the killing of the APC ward Chairman and cooperating with Amotekun Corps to aid the arrest of other suspects in connection with the crime.
The Amotekun Commander who noted that among the arrested 32 suspects, twenty of them were apprehended for breaking of law and order, while ten of them were nabbed in connection with kidnapping, said the suspected killer would be prosecuted in line with the law after the investigations.
He assured the people of the state, that Amotekun corps in collaboration with other security agencies would continue to ensure peaceful state.
