In a decisive move to tackle rising insecurity, the Ondo State government has ratified the death penalty by hanging for individuals convicted of kidnapping.
Additionally, any property used as a hideout or operational base by kidnappers will be demolished.
The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Kayode Ajulo who announced the measures during a news briefing in Akure the state capital disclosed that it was targeted at ridding the state off criminal elements.
