CBEX: I Lost ₦10 million – Taye Currency

Ibadan based Popular Fuji musician, Taye Adebisi, also known as Currency, Taye Currency, has disclosed how he lost a sum of ₦10 million, he invested in the CBEX Ponzi scheme.

The Fuji star, during a stage performance, revealed that some friends introduced the scheme to him on the 1st of April, prompting him to invest ₦10 million from his insurance account into CBEX.

Taye Currency,  who identified the friends as Sodiq, Small London (Alaba), Lati, and Boda Muba — publicly rained curse on them for misleading him into the scheme, which resulted in his financial loss.

Meanwhile, many Nigerians who invested their life savings into the scheme are still counting their losses after CBEX crashed, allegedly wiping out over ₦1.3 trillion from individual accounts.

Financial experts and concerned Nigerians have continued to react to the widespread scam, describing it as greed on the part of Nigerians who, in a bid to make quick money, involved themselves in the fraudulent scheme.

This is not the first time Nigerians have fallen victim to such schemes, as several Ponzi operations have made their way through the country, swindling innocent citizens of their hard-earned money.
