The Ondo State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has released activities lined up the 2025 edition of its annual NAWOJ Week celebration.
The week-long celebration dedicated to promoting excellence in journalism and fostering camaraderie among media professionals.
A statement by NAWOJ Chairperson, Comrade Tola Gbadamosi and the Secretary, Comrade Oluwatosin Ighoteguono says this annual event will kick off with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, April 13th and climax with dinner and award night on Thursday, April 17th, 2025.
Below is the line-up of activities for the week
Sunday, April 13th…Thanksgiving Service at Favour Generation Church, Fanibi, Akure, Ondo State, at 10:00am.
Tuesday, April 15th…. Novelty Match between NAWOJ and FIDA at Ijapo Estate Field at 4:00 pm.
Wednesday, April 16th
Girls’ Time Out at FUTA Botanical Gardens at 4:00 pm.
Thursday, April 17th (Morning Session) Grand Finale and Investiture of Ondo NAWOJ Matron/Book Launch at NUJ Press Centre, Adegbemile, Akure, at 10:00 am.
Thursday, April 17th (Evening Session) Dinner and Award Night at NUJ Press Centre, Adegbemile, Akure, at 5:00 pm.
