35th Anniversary: MFM Honours 492 First-Class Graduates
As part of activities marking the celebration of the 35th founding anniversary of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), the General Overseer of the church Pastor Daniel Olukoya has rewarded 492 first – class graduate who are members of the church.
At the Sunday Thanksgiving service, which climaxed the three-day anniversary programmes held at the MFM Prayer City in Lagos State, Pastor Olukoya, who boasted that the ministry has the largest number of first class graduates in Nigeria, shared that the initiative began in 2011, inspired by a revelation to encourage academic excellence among church members globally.
He disclosed that, first-class graduates were initially rewarded with new cars with 19 beneficiaries.
In 2011, the first edition of the initiative saw 19 beneficiaries, each receiving a car. For the second edition, we awarded cars to the recipients, by the third edition, the number of first-class graduates surged to 77, leading to a shift from cars to cash gifts of N500,000 each. The fourth edition saw the number of beneficiaries rise to 106, with the cash prize adjusted to N250,000. By the fifth edition, the number of recipients had grown to 329. For the 2024 edition, the sixth since its inception, a record of 492 first-class students from MFM churches worldwide will be honored with cash gifts and certificates of recognition.”
Pastor Olukoya encouraged all MFM students to join the church’s campus fellowship in their respective institutions to be eligible for future opportunities, noting that the initiative had fostered culture of hard work and academic dedication among MFM students.
The presentation of certificates was led by the Wife of the General Overseer, Pastor Sade Olukoya, flanked by governors of Delta, Ogun, and Lagos States.
Pastors and individuals who had made significant contributions to the church’s growth over the past 30 years including four Assistant General Overseers were honoured with Ministerial Awards.
